Lawrence:Andrea Engaged!

So, on a chilly late afternoon earlier this month, we had the pleasure of shooting Lawrence & Andrea's engagement session. Robb and I got to shoot in some areas we hadn't before, and Lawrence & Andrea were the perfect subjects for those areas. Andrea's clothing choices ROCKED! And, those little girls....well, Lawrence & Andrea are truly blessed, for they all four make a great looking couple!

We started at Mt. Echo...

...and added in the girls. I love how the sun is shining on their faces in this one.

See what I mean about a gorgeous family?!

Speaking of gorgeous, look at Andrea's eyes - they are so peaceful looking in this image.

A little sass over at Music Hall.

Andrea's jacket slection was perfect for a shot like this. The color really played off the worn, old doors at Music Hall. This is probably my favorite shot from the whole day!

Piatt Park in the late afternoon is fantastic!

Okay, maybe this one is my favorite, but for a different reason. First, I love the pop of color with the bright yellow. Second, I like how the sun was bouncing off a building just right and filtering through the trees. At any rate, it's definitely in my top two!

A final shot of the happy couple!

Lawrence & Andrea - thanks for being patient for your teasers through the craziness (our daugther in the hospital and all!). The whole set will be up soon!

Jon:Kellie Engaged!

A few weeks ago Robb and I fought the bright November sun (did I really just say that?! Weird Cincinnati weather!) and spent some time with Kellie & Jon. I used to work with Kellie's mom, and Robb and I were lucky to work with them last year when we were the Clermont County Fair photographers. We are completely honored that they've asked us to now shoot Jon & Kellie's wedding next June.

This session was shot around Kellie's hometown, which is minutes from our town. It was a great time, and left us wanting June to be here already!

We started at Kellie's farm, which had many less animals than I remembered from my last visit there, but it definitely put Jon & Kellie in their element!

Then, Robb and I thought it would be great to take them up "in town" to the school. I think was probably a little bit out of Kellie's comfort zone, but she was very gracious and went along with all our suggestions. We really like the results!

Robb and I've been looking for just the right clients to shoot in a corn field, and Jon & Kellie are definitely that couple. We stopped at a friend's field and grabbed some great shots.

We finished up back at Kellie's farm again. The driveway into their farm is fantastic!

Kellie & Jon, we are so excited to be working with you both! June is going to be a blast!

Nick:Kristen Engaged!

So, it's almost 2:30 a.m., and I'm on a roll with blogging! I'm going to finish up tonight's (or should I say, this morning's?!) work with the last of the couples we shot e-sessions for in October.

Meet Nick & Kristen. Robb & I just had the pleasure of shooting Nick's sister's wedding in July. When we find ourselves shooting weddings for siblings or close relatives of our past clients, it is a tremendous honor for Robb and me. It means that we're doing something right! We're thrilled that Nick & Kristen thought of us, and we have to say -  they were super fun at their e-session out at Winton Woods! We're sure you're going to see that in these photos though!

So, who loves this dog? Robb & I do! He was definitely ready for his close up!

We try to take at least one good photo of our brides & grooms by themselves at the e-session. I like how natural these seem.

AND, who thinks Kristen looks like the character Charlotte King from Private Practice? I certainly think so - especially when she smiles!

We don't normally take a ring shot like this during an e-session (we usually save them for the wedding), but once Robb saw this tree...well, you see what happened next!

And I couldn't complain, because I saw this field, which was obviously begging for one of those trademark Lucky Clover smoochin' pictures!

Nick got the truck AND the girl...which probably put him pretty much on top of the world (Kristen seems pretty happy too!).

Danny:Tricia Engaged!

Round Two of the Engaged Blog Blitz!

Next up is Danny & Tricia. We shot their session at Devou Park and around Covington, at what I will say was the height of the fall color. The landscape was ablaze with yellows, reds, and oranges, and you'll see from these images, we worked that as much as we could!

Robb and I don't normally condone the outfit choice seen below....but we tried our best to make it work! JUST KIDDING! The blue did pop against the scenery nicely! ;-)

See what we mean about the beautiful oranges? LOVE this shot Robb grabbed while Tricia & Danny played around in the leaves!

I really just kinda dig this "outside looking in" perspective.

If I could convince Robb, I would line our yard with these red bushes! We loved how the red became the perfect backdrop.

One last one, from our little walk in Covington. Just love the "normal" in this photo. Robb and I can appreciate the "normal" stuff in relationships, so shots like these are always among our faves!

Jim:Tina Engaged!

Prepare yourselves for a blog blitz! We have had so many e-sessions and weddings the last month that we're behind in the blogging department - this weekend, aside from a sick three-year-old (our Gracie), some meetings, a wedding, and a two-year-old's birthday party (our Molly), and five little kittens learning how to walk, I have decided I am going to attempt to get all these sessions blogged!

Let's kick this thing off with Tina & Jim! Robb and I headed back up to the beautiful Cox Arboretum in Dayton to spend some time with Tina & Jim a few weeks ago. They couldn't have asked for a better fall day! They were kind enough to play tour guide around the Oregon District too - which Robb and I loved, because new places to shoot is always an awesome thing for us!
