Jon:Melany Engaged!

Over this last weekend, Robb and I headed out and spent some time shooting Jon & Melany's engagement session. It's funny how small our world is... Melany is from the same little town as my parents, she knows several people in my extended family and we both worked for the same local bank recently!

Our afternoon almost got rained on, but the sunshine (and heat) held off long enough for us to get some great shots of a great couple! December seems far away, but I'm sure it'll be here before we even realize it!

We began at Devou Park, where the clouds tried to convince us it was going to rain any second...

We also ventured on to the famous "singing" bridge. Honestly, the bridge completely creeps me out every time I drive on it, but it looks great for photos!

A little garage off to the side of the bridge provided nice "red" - Robb and I love some red backgrounds!

Another from Devou... but this time, the sun peeked out long enough to get a nice smoochin' shot!

The only real request Jon & Melany had was a shot with the Reds ballpark behind them. Robb, ever the baseball fan, was all to happy to oblige!

One from the double decker bus down in Main Strauss.

Melany & Jon - enjoy the teasers! We're excited to be working with you both, and aren't just looking forward to Christmas in December now!

Bryan:Kaylyn Engaged!

Well, after my 24 hour blog blitz, you would think that I could take a break... but no! I have to blog three sessions from this past weekend still! So, technically, I'm caught up on blogging, but as any photographer will tell you, once you get busy.... you typically stay that way! There's always blogging, editing, albums, meetings, continuing education - you get the picture!

So, for this blog, we're showcasing Bryan & Kaylyn, who are getting married THIS Saturday! We squeezed this e-session under the wire, and I'm so glad we did! We got some great shots and I'm really looking forward to this Saturday!

We started at Ault Park, where it is always beautiful!

Robb and I are suckers for the smoochin' pics!

A fun one!

This one is one of my personal faves! I just love Kaylyn's features - Tyra would be proud of those eyes smiling at the camera!

Another fun one at Alms Park.

Sometimes, the light gods shine down from above, and give us these wonderfully moody, romantic, balanced images. I love that about my job.

The image above and below are my view...

... and here is Robb's view. Love that wide angle lens!

Nick:Jinni Married!

When Robb and I started Lucky Clover, we did so in hopes that we'd meet and work with some amazing people, during some of the best times of their lives. This year, we've found several couples who we know in our hearts are now our lifelong friends. Nick and Jinni is one of those couples. First, Nick and Robb may have been twins separated at birth. And I think Jinni is just an amazing woman - so fun, smart, gracious... all those words you think of when you think of amazing women. And her eyes (although she may not think so) truly speak to the camera. And I LOVE that!

Earlier this month, our new friends Nick and Jinni got hitched. And WOW what a party! We worked the longest we've ever worked, shot the most images we've ever shot, and by far had the most fun we've ever had. The food was good, the details were gorgeous, the families were amazing, and the dance floor was packed - EVERYONE, from 1 to 100, was dancing! And the band - I'm not a live band kind of girl, but if the Remains want to come play at every reception I shoot for the rest of my career, I would be super stoked.

So, longwinded as the intro was, the photos are going to be numerous too. Jinni's gown, from Fabulous Bridal, was just that... fabulous!

Nick and Jinni decided to see one another prior to their ceremony, so we headed over to Spring Grove Cemetary. Nick used to work there, and Robb and I love shooting there!

This is their "gangsta" pose - Nick is almost convincing!

Jinni made a beautiful bride, as I knew she would!

They were married at St. Catharine of Siena... easily the most beautiful church we've shot at this year! Very near the end of the ceremony, they glanced over at me and gave me these big happy smiles!

I loved the bolero Jinni rocked for the ceremony! And check out the blingy-bling on her wrist. A DIY project by the bride - and it was awesome!

A great detail shot the bling and of Jnni's bouquet, done by the incomparable Katie Elfers- brides, if you want amazing, perfect flowers, go see Katie!

Here's a reception shot of Jinni & Nick during her sister's toast. See those expressive eyes I was talking about?

And, finally,in Mr. and Mrs. Z's words, "All You Need is Love... and maybe a little bit of candy!"

Nick and Jinni - we can't tell you how much we adore you! I hope you love your teasers, and I know we'll be meeting up for a Rockband party soon!

Robert:Lynna Engaged!

Robb and I love Robert and Lynna - mostly because their story is somewhat similar to ours. They went to school together, as did Robb and me. They went down separate paths after school, but were obviously meant for one another, because the paths crossed again down the road - just like Robb and me! And now, they are getting married, just like Robb and I did! A couple of weeks ago, Robb spent some time with the happy couple for their e-session. Check it out - I love the vibe these images are putting off!

Would it be a Lucky Clover session without some smoochin'??

Lynna's got great hair for wind!

This is probably one of my favorites - I love the backwards glance Lynna is giving Robert!

Another from Devou - seriously one of my fave places to shoot at!

Lynna and Robert - I love that when I see these images, I can tell you're so in love and thankful that life has brought you back together! We are honored you've invited us to share in your wedding day!
